The first thing that strikes you when entering Celima, is the abundance of light which is provided by two walls of glass curtains enabling a spectacular view across the hills over the Mediterranean Sea and to the Moroccan coast. The main colour of the furnishing is white, beige and grey underlining the elegance of the room, which is complemented by indirect lighting and flowers and oil lamps on each table. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. You can have a 3-course "˜menu del dia" for €14 or a 5-course "˜Menu de Degustacion" for just €35. There is a wide choice of excellent well-priced wines, which won't make a hole in your pocket when ordering them to accompany your meal. Fresh, warm complimentary bread with olive oil and butter starts off your meal which is then followed by an amuse geulles, compliments of the cook. Our menu began with a delicious onion soup, followed by smoked salmon, avocado and tiger prawn artistically arranged in lettuce as a timbale. The roasted sea bass, bedded on creamy polenta with tomato chutney and a white vermouth sauce was extremely good as was the next course; breast of duck on a tangy cherry sauce, Our desserts consisted of a warm pear tart with melted chocolate and chocolate ice cream and a fig and raspberry cake with vanilla ice cream - perfect!
