If you've ever been to Nerja before or seen postcards you will definitely be familiar with the Balcon de Europe, the vantage point overlooking the Mediterranean and next to the famous caves, the most well- known landmark in Nerja. Under this large terrace sits a café restaurant, the Rey Alfonso. Having recently undergone a total refurbishment this is the perfect place to sit and have a coffee, sip on a glass of wine and enjoy the uninterrupted sea view. In El Rey Alfonso you are virtually sitting on top of the Mediterranean and you can watch the waves crashing against the rocks, the seagulls gliding on the air or the fishing boats moving out on the open sea. Tastefully decorated and furnished with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, this café restaurant offers you a choice of snacks, sandwiches and meals all moderately priced.
